Losing focus.

After my skirmish with Google, this was destined to really put the wind up me. We found a herd of elephant mamas chaperoning their babies accompanied by one huge male. The herd took no notice of us but the big boy became quite interested - too interested for my liking. He circled us quite closely with me sweating bullets. After a few minutes the Mexicans in the back were also starting to quietly yammer -  Nigel being the only one unbothered by such encounters - mainly because behind his lens he is deaf, dumb and blind to such pifferling things as fully grown charging bull elephants. He continued to doggedly snap away even as big boy began to flap his ears, eventually treating us to a mini charge towards Nigel's posi in the chariot. This even tested the metal of our guide who swiftly moved us away. Nigel left in limbo, bloody furious that due to the moving car, his last shot was out of focus and had a bit of my naffing hat in it. The only antidote was to gently ferry him back to the lodge and let him have a nice quiet lie down - in a dark room.
