Our driver today was telling us all about what happens when you meet a girl you like and want to marry. The expectation from the girls family is that you stump up at least 10 cows as a dowery for the honour of calling her your wife. You don't have to front up with the full herd straight away but you have to have at least a good couple of heffers to get the ceremony underway and then you can drip feed the cows as you go over the years - effectively ensuring your in laws milk you for the rest of your natural.
